Smoothing expression lines, gently and naturally.

Botulinum toxin
The treatment

Botulinum toxin

Botulinum toxin, often called Botox, is a protein that acts at the neuromuscular junction. It produces targeted muscle relaxation, inducing a tightening effect on the skin and reducing expression lines. The toxin is natural and resorbable; it is safe at the doses used in aesthetic medicine.

How it works

Expression lines appear over time as a result of facial expressions. With ageing, the muscles relax less well, the skin becomes less elastic and these lines eventually become permanent.

Once injected, the toxin prevents the release of acetylcholine — the substance that triggers muscle contraction — causing the muscle to relax and thus smoothing the wrinkle.

1st consultation

The first appointment is an opportunity to assess the patient's expectations and any medical contraindications. Photos are taken and a quote is drawn up based on the areas to be treated.

2nd consultation

The injections are carried out: they are almost painless and the session lasts 15 to 30 minutes depending on the number of areas. The effect becomes visible after 3 days, peaks after 7 to 15 days, and lasts 4 to 6 months.

3rd consultation

About 15 days after the injections, the aesthetic result is assessed and touch-ups are carried out if needed. This consultation, as well as any touch-ups, are free of charge.
