Revealing radiant, regenerated skin.

A dermatological peel involves applying a chemical agent to the skin — most often an acid — to exfoliate the superficial layers and stimulate the production of collagen fibres. It helps combat acne, photoageing (sun damage), wrinkles, enlarged pores and more. There are three types of peel.
Book an appointmentThe most common agent is glycolic acid, a “fruit acid” extracted from sugar cane, which removes the most superficial layers of the epidermis and stimulates the formation of collagen and elastin.
The face is cleansed, the acid applied for 3 to 5 minutes then neutralised. This peel is gentle and has no downtime.
It reaches the epidermis and the upper dermis, for a deeper, longer-lasting exfoliation. Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) diluted to 30%–50% is generally used.
The skin looks “sunburnt”, with swelling and brownish crusts for a few days. The skin then peels to reveal fine, pinkish skin. This peel can be performed 2 to 4 times depending on the skin's condition and the TCA concentration.
Used more rarely, it is reserved for deep wrinkles and pitted scars; the agent used is generally phenol. It is not performed at Regen Esthetic Centre because of its side effects.
During the first consultation, a facial analysis is carried out in order to propose a suitable treatment. A quote and a treatment plan are drawn up. You are given an informed-consent form and a post-treatment recommendations document.
